What is life like when you're seven?
You can dance and sing all you want!
You love your teachers and you work hard!
You start loosing teeth left and right.
You love your siblings and you want to serve them!
You shine bright for the Lord and his gospel.
You enjoy life as a kid and you can be whatever you want to be!
We love you so much Halle! Thank you for being such a wonderful 7 year old! We hope you have an awesome B-day!

Our dear Grandpa
January 17, 1943 - July 24, 2011
On pioneer day, Kevin's dad, Alan, was not looking too good. He had been in a coma for just a few days. He ended up passing away that night. It was the longest weekend of our lives. We stayed at their house all weekend, Kevin couldn't leave his mom and dad's side.
Alan started to have memory problems in November of 2010. He would forget how to drive home, he would forget how to start the DVD player, he even started to forget who his children were. He would also get very anxious. Loud noises from the grandkids would make him angry. This was scary for everyone and especially Kevin's mother. In January, Alan had to retire from Thatcher High School.
There were so many unanswered questions. The doctors were trying so hard to figure out what was going on. Alan had always been so healthy his whole life. No medication, no health issues. The whole family was starting to realize that Kevin's mom couldn't take care of Alan by herself anymore. So on April 30th (22 days after their 37th wedding anniversary), they had to sell most of their possessions and their home in Thatcher (while Alan had no idea what was going on).
With so many tests and good doctors, they never gave up on helping Alan. And the family never gave up either. They all had so much hope and faith that he would get better. But on June 29th, Kevin's mom got a call from the doctor, saying that Alan had CJD (Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease), a rare form of brain damage that leads to a rapid decrease of mental function and movement.
We had no idea how long he had now. But he was comfortable in his daughter's home, with grandchildren all around him and his wife right by his side, doing anything and everything she could for him. The last words he said were: "Are my kids safe? Take care of the kids, I don't want anything to happen to my kids."
It was a bitter-sweet passing. There was no struggling, no pain. All of his children were there and many more to help.
Alan was a wonderful father (Kevin reflects that), and husband and Grandfather. He was loved by all who knew him, and Heavenly Father needs him now for much greater work.
Thank you Dad for loving my children, for loving Kevin and I, and for loving the gospel and our Savior. We will miss you so!

We miss Utah already
We took our Utah trip to see my brother Thayne and his wife Lanae! We had the time of our lives!
It was so beautiful there, compared to the 113 degree weather here in AZ! It was nice! We had fun jumping on the tramp all day long, playing with Bill, going on hikes every day, catching every living thing in our path, and picking every flower in our path!
(I got to see my cousins and aunt and uncles, it was so nice because they are all such wonderful people!)
Thank you Clarks for making such a wonderful trip! We love you so much! And we can't wait to come back!

Happy Mother's day!
I hope all you moms had a wonderful Mother's day!
Esspecially this one...
Marilee Barton Clark
She is my #1 example. I probably won't ever be like she is, she is too far a head of me, but I try. She is on a Temple Mission with my Dad in Monterey, Mexico. They are loving it (despite the danger). Thank you mom for showing me how to live right and to love the Lord.
I love you so much!

Conference Delight
It went by too fast. We had so much fun listening to the prophet this last weekend, the kids were so good. We got to hear every word! And now it is spring, and we're ready to go. I don't know where we're going, but I know it's going to be better, with some high hurdles, but better! (I hope I don't biff it like I did in high school...litterally, my knee was torn up.)
HAPPY SPRING!

I'm so glad I was able to find my best friend, and marry him! :) I still smile and melt when he looks into my eyes! You make me want to be better Kevin, in everything I do, every day.
It seems like its been longer than that. But a wonderful 8 years it has been!
I love you Kevin! Thank you for everything you do!

Holiday craziness...is it over?
It's always sad when it's all over, but it is nice to have it all packed away again. And have normal life back! We had our own fun little Christmas, trying to start our own traditions.
We had some company while we were in Thatcher after Christmas! Aren't they cute?! They will be ready to leave their mommy in February if anyone wants a good huntin' dog for free. :)
The AZ weather has been so nice. All the girls have bikes now so we've been having fun!
I walk while Sarah and Marilee ride their bikes to Marilee's pre-school at our friends house. It takes us about 15 minutes to get there, so we get our exercise.
It get's pretty girly around here at times, I don't know how Bill will stand it any longer, but he loves his sisters! And we all love having Daddy around. He helps lighten the load and makes life better!
